Mobile Plant Fitter (Sizewell C)

Mobile Plant Fitter (Sizewell C)

About the Role

As a Mobile Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of heavy plant machinery across multiple sites. This is a field-based role, responding to breakdowns while carrying out planned maintenance to ensure maximum uptime across the fleet.

You’ll work with equipment including:

  • ADTs
  • Excavators
  • Telehandlers
  • Dozers
  • Crushers (including cone crushers, screeners and trommels)

This role requires both mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance on heavy plant equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair faults across diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
  • Attend breakdowns across the region, delivering efficient on-site repairs.
  • Complete diagnostic testing to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Maintain accurate service records in line with company procedures.
  • Ensure all work complies with company health & safety standards.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence (required).
  • Minimum 1 year’s experience servicing and repairing plant machinery.

Experience

  • Proven experience working on construction plant, quarrying or recycling equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Construction Plant Maintenance OR Agricultural Plant Maintenance (essential).
  • Full UK driving licence (reinforced, as both a qualification and experience requirement).
  • Minimum 1 year’s experience servicing and repairing plant machinery (reinforced).
