We are recruiting on behalf of a leading company within the plant hire and equipment rental industry for an experienced Mobile Fitter to cover the Midlands region.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer who enjoys working independently, travelling to customer sites, and maintaining a wide range of plant and construction equipment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring customers receive a fast, reliable service while keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of plant and construction equipment at customer sites.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic faults.
- Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and provide effective on-site support.
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety procedures.
- Deliver excellent customer service and represent the business professionally at all times.

What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Mobile Fitter, Plant Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Agricultural Engineer, HGV Technician, or in a similar engineering role.
- Strong mechanical and fault-finding skills.
- Experience working on plant, construction, agricultural, or heavy equipment.
- Good knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and manage your own workload.

What’s on Offer
- £44,800 basic salary per annum.
- 52.5-hour basic working week.
- Overtime paid at 1.5x the hourly rate after 52.5 hours, with all travel time paid door-to-door.
