Hours of work: Monday to Friday - 0630 - 1500
40 hours per week + overtime
Salary: £26,769 + any additional overtime which is paid at 1.5.
A quick look at the role.
Mobile Plant Operators are directly responsible for the safe and proper operation and maintenance of any site vehicle under their use. A multi-task role from receiving and directing waste to loading RDF and commodity bales. Housekeeping is a standard expectation as part of all roles.
Preventative maintenance and defect reports are an important function of the role to ensure timely servicing and maintenance of any given vehicle and is deemed as a key function of the role.
Your Core Responsibilities.
- Perform daily equipment checks,
- Complete daily report forms for all equipment used, including mileage and service records
- Operate with diligence and care ensuring Health and Safety parameters are strictly adhered to
- Provide a control of the waste directly at the point of unloading
- Is responsible for the cleaning of the working area in and out of cab
- Is responsible to inform the shift leader about all accidents unsuitable waste, etc

Requirements
Our essential requirements.
- Experience of working in either a Waste Management, Warehousing or Construction environment
- Mechanical knowledge
- Mobile plant operation and maintenance
- Previous experience in operating a FLT, loading shovel or 360
- Full Driving Licence
- Attitude for compliance and good attention to detail
- Robust, resilient, able to absorb pressure and respond positively
