About The Role

The Mobile Plant Supervisor will be based in Bristol, covering multiple ready-mix concrete plants across the South West. This permanent position offers a salary of £38,000 to £38,500 per annum with a 48-hour working week, plus time and a half for any hours beyond that. A company van is provided for business travel. The Role

As a Relief Concrete Plant Supervisor, you'll be responsible for:

  • Operating computerised batching systems to produce ready-mix concrete to customer specifications.
  • Supporting Production Managers with the day-to-day running of multiple concrete plants.
  • Carrying out daily inspections of safety-critical equipment.
  • Operating loading shovels to replenish aggregate stock.
  • Monitoring stock levels and ordering raw materials when required.
  • Managing the safe movement of mixer, tipper and cement tanker vehicles on site.
  • Supervising contractors and ensuring work is completed safely.
  • Completing environmental compliance checks and maintaining accurate records.
  • Driving high standards of housekeeping and carrying out routine preventative maintenance.
  • Coaching and supporting operational teams while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Promoting a positive health, safety and environmental culture across all sites.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience working within a concrete plant, quarry, manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
  • A good mechanical and/or electrical understanding of plant machinery.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • The flexibility to travel across multiple sites within the South West.
  • A full UK driving licence (essential).
