Mobile Plumber
Mobile Plumber – Permanent Full-Time Role (Manchester, 37 Hours/Week)
EQUANS are recruiting for a Mobile Plumber to be based in Manchester. The role offers a competitive salary and attractive benefits package.
About the Role
The Mobile Plumber will provide high-quality plumbing, heating, and multi-skilled services in compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and health & safety standards. This role is crucial in supporting the team to deliver excellent customer service while maintaining efficiency and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Technical Delivery:
- Complete high-quality repair, maintenance, and plumbing installations, ensuring 1st-time fix where possible
- Undertake heating, gas, and multi-skilled works to minimize repeat visits
- Adhere to all EQUANS policies, SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) requirements, and company regulations
- Ensure accuracy in documentation (time tracking, costing, property records)

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Provide polite, professional, and courteous customer service
- Liaise with clients, contractors, administration teams, and internal departments
- Maintain professional communication via the company’s vehicle communication and tracking system

Operational & Safety Standards:
- Use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety gear correctly
- Wear company uniform/clothing as specified
- Leave work areas clean and tidy daily
- Adhere to company vehicle policies, including van stock management and cleanliness
- Hold keys where required and follow company protocols

- Team & Business Support:
- Support the team in meeting KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
- Attend vocational training and company meetings as needed
- Promote EQUANS’ values and objectives, including ensuring representatives present themselves professionally

Who Are We Looking For?
Essential Requirements
- City & Guilds qualification (Plumbing/Heating Engineer) or equivalent experience
- Completed time-served apprenticeship
- Current and valid Full & Clean UK driving license (essential for role)
Desirable
- Relevant gas work qualifications (repair, installation, maintenance of gas systems)
Key Skills & Experience
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Proactive problem-solving approach
- Up-to-date knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
