QA Engineer – Hybrid Role (2 days in London)
About the Role
Waracle are seeking a QA Engineer to join their world-class digital technology consultancy, home to a diverse, smart, curious, and ambitious community of specialists in technology-driven transformation. They collaborate with ambitious clients to solve their biggest business and customer challenges—innovating and creating intelligent digital products and services.
The role works seamlessly across strategy, design, delivery, and operations, tackling complex challenges and delivering business-critical IT transformation projects.
This is a hybrid position, with a requirement to work from their London office for 2 days per week.
The Opportunity
Are you a detail-oriented problem solver who loves collaborating to build high-quality digital experiences? As a QA Engineer at Waracle, you’ll:
- Ensure our products are seamless and user-friendly by detecting and resolving technical issues.
- Translate technical defects into real-world business value, communicating clearly across teams—from developers to stakeholders.
- Grow within a supportive environment while helping to onboard new team members into the QA community.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborative Test Design: Independently design and execute tests, advocating for end-user journeys using product personas.
- Automation Engineering: Build and maintain regression automation packs, integrating them into CI pipelines for rapid feedback.
- System Health & Observability: Analyse logs and dashboards to investigate issues and validate system health throughout testing.
- Inclusive Testing (NFR): Conduct tests across non-functional areas such as Accessibility, Security, and Performance to ensure products are universally usable.
- Clear Communication: Provide concise updates in stand-ups while explaining complex technical details in accessible terms for non-technical audiences.

What You’ll Bring
Waracle are looking for a curious, technically-minded individual thriving in a supportive, fast-paced environment who has:
Essential Requirements
- Strong mobile testing experience, including proficiency in testing iOS and Android applications.
- Hands-on experience with mobile automation frameworks, such as Appium, Detox, or Maestro (a plus).
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, specifically experience using GitHub Actions.
- A practical interest in using AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or Gemini) to improve test automation and script efficiency.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with cross-platform frameworks like React Native or Flutter.
- Competency in Python (beneficial but not mandatory).
