About The Role
We’re looking for reliable and safety-minded Mobile Shunters to join our Asset
Presentation team. You’ll be responsible for the safe movement and preparation of
buses within the garage, supporting cleaning teams, engineering teams, and
operational staff to ensure every vehicle is ready for service.

What You’ll Do
Safely manoeuvre buses within the garage, following parking plans or allocator
instructions
You are expected to be mobile between all garages, with use of a company
vehicle which must be returned to your home depot
Position vehicles for maintenance, cleaning, and service readiness Refuel buses and check essential fluids in line with company guidelines Ensure exterior cleaning is completed to Go-Ahead Way (GAW) standards Liaise with cleaning teams and position vehicles for internal cleaning Carry out visual checks for damage or defects and report issues promptly Complete movement logs and maintain accurate records of vehicle positioning

Move buses to and from workshops with minimal disruption to operations Follow all Health & Safety, environmental, and operational procedures
What We’re Looking For
Full UK driving licence (Category B essential; PCV licence preferred — training
may be provided)
Ability to manoeuvre large vehicles safely in confined spaces Good level of physical fitness Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team Flexible approach to shifts, including evenings and weekends Good communication skills and ability to work with yard supervisors, engineers,

Previous experience in transport or logistics (desirable) Knowledge of basic vehicle checks and fuelling procedures (desirable) Willingness to undertake additional duties as required
