Job Overview Do you have a passion for cars, a knack for customer service, and enjoy working independently? Halfords are recruiting Mobile Technicians to bring their skills directly to customers’ driveways.
Compensation & Working Arrangements
- Salary: £29,995.68 – £31,025.28 per annum, including bonus
- Hours: 44 hours per week
- Shift Pattern: Varies including:
- Saturday
- Sunday
- Tuesday
- Wednesday
- Thursday
- Monday-Tuesday (shift commences)
- Friday (may follow Monday-Tuesday shifts depending on availability)
About the Role
As a Mobile Technician, your days will be filled with using technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and strong customer service abilities to ensure your customers can stay on the move. Those selected for the role will pick up a fully-equipped van from a local Hub and follow smart technology route guidance. Tasks include performing a wide range of on-site vehicle repairs and servicing.
You will carry out the following services daily after receiving full training:
- Tyre fitting
- Dash-cam fitting
- Battery replacement
- Air-con services
- Windscreen repairs
- Oil and filter changes
- Tow-bar fitting

Responsibilities & Requirements
Your role involves both technical expertise and how you relate to customers, requiring:
Preferred experience and skills
- Two years’ experience as a Tyre Fitter or in another vehicle repair field (highly desirable)
- Qualifications: L2 LVM or equivalent qualification
- Strong customer service skills and genuine experience in this area
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and aptitude to work independently
- Enthusiasm and passion for all things cars & motoring
Qualifications & Certifications
- Must hold a current and valid driving licence with no more than six penalty points
