Mobilisation Lead - learning, day opportunities and wellbeing programmes transformation
About the Role: Mobilisation Lead – Sense
We are recruiting for a passionate Mobilisation Lead to support our transformation goals here at Sense.
This is a hands-on delivery role where you will lead transformation projects from planning through to implementation, collaborating closely with operational teams, Head of Mobilisation, Transformation Director, and operational leaders. You will:
- Redesign services
- Improve ways of working
- Embed change while ensuring disabled people with complex needs remain at the heart of every decision.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Transformation Delivery
- Lead mobilisation activities across a range of transformation projects.
- Turn strategic decisions into practical delivery plans, including:
- Clear actions
- Ownership of tasks
- Defined milestones
- Work alongside operational teams to implement change and support successful handover.
- Monitor progress, manage risks, and resolve challenges to keep projects on track.
2. Shape Future Services
- Help define and develop future service models that are:
- Sustainable
- Person-centred
- Responsive to changing needs
- Strengthen connections between:
- Colleges
- Day opportunities
- Community services
- Wellbeing programmes
- Contribute to business cases, implementation plans, and options appraisals to support long-term growth.
3. Keep People at the Heart of Change
- Ensure disabled people with complex needs, families, and carers are involved meaningfully throughout transformation.
- Collaborate with teams in co-production, quality, and communications to ensure change is delivered with people, not to them.
- Champion inclusion, accessibility, and person-centred practice in every project.
4. Build Strong Partnerships
- Bring together colleagues across:
- Operations
- Finance
- HR
- Digital
- Communications
- Fundraising & Marketing to deliver shared objectives.
- Build relationships with external stakeholders such as:
- Commissioners
- Funders
- Community partners
- Facilitate workshops and planning sessions to drive clear decisions and action.

5. Support Sustainable Growth
- Develop services that are:
- Financially sustainable
- Future-proofed to meet changing demand
- Support work around:
- Referrals
- Contracts
- Funding opportunities
- Partnerships
- Business development
- Use data, insights, and feedback to inform decisions and identify improvements.
About You: Requirements
We’re looking for an organised, collaborative, and delivery-focused professional with experience leading change in complex environments.
You should have:
- Experience leading or coordinating transformation, mobilisation, or operational improvement projects.
- Background in education, social care, health, disability services, community services, or a similar sector.
- A track record of working with operational leaders to deliver practical, lasting change.
- Strong stakeholder management skills—able to unite teams around shared goals.
- Experience with commissioners, funders, or external partners.
- Commercial awareness, including understanding of:
- Service sustainability
- Funding
- Contracts
- Business development
- Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills.
- Technical confidence using digital systems and project management tools.
- A genuine commitment to:
- Person-centred services
- Inclusion
- Continuous improvement
