Overview
Key Duties (Including but not limited to):
- Develop and lead the delivery of Model Validation
- Act as the Head of Model Risk’s delegate on matters related to model validation and model risk.
- Lead and drive establishment and delivery of improved technical processes to meet or exceed industry best practice for Model Validation to support their Long-Term Objective of Sustainable Profitable Growth

Qualifications Required

- Professionally qualified with FIA or FFA (Essential)
- Detailed knowledge of the methodology and principles underlying capital management and reserving methods and practices
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of the regulatory requirements surrounding Internal Model approval and associated governance
Experience Required
- Experience within Financial Services of deploying validation tools and techniques (such as stress and scenario testing, analysis of change and profit & loss attribution)
- Proven track record of successfully planning, managing, and executing complex actuarial projects
- Detailed understanding of the different types of material risks faced by a general insurance company and assessing long tail (1 in 200) distributions
