Modelling Consultant
About You
As the Modelling Consultant, you will possess curiosity and passion for solving environmental challenges across rivers, lakes, estuaries, and marine waters using predictive models, advanced data analysis, and management tools. Our ideal candidate thrives on building scientific arguments to tackle real-world complexities, while effortlessly engaging with clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
You should enjoy leading work packages or projects, thriving in team environments with highly skilled peers, and pioneering practical, quantified, industry-leading solutions with enthusiasm and creativity.
Required Skills & Experience
- A Master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline (e.g., environmental science, hydrodynamics, engineering)
- Experience with at least one modelling package:
- DELFT3D
- MIKE
- (Previously used InfoWorks ICM knowledge is also a plus)
- Excelent verbal and written communication skills, including expertise in technical report drafting
- Familiarity with offshore project compliance and Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems (HSEQ) requirements

About the Opportunity
Our success is built on client trust, innovative technical solutions, and rapid, responsive service. This role will drive deliverables such as:
- Coastal and estuarine hydrodynamic and water quality modelling
- Bathing water and shellfish water assessments
- **Water Framework Directive and UPM assessments
- Environment Act implementation support
- Tidal energy optimisation and impact modelling
- Environmental consent studies
Key Activities
- Design and execute predictive models to address environmental challenges
- Develop scientific arguments grounded in data and analysis
- Guide client relationships, regulatory negotiations, and stakeholder engagement
- Project and package management, aligning goals with deliverables
- Contribute to technical reports and review peers’ work
- Carve out leading-edge, practical solutions for today’s environmental hurdles
