Modern Apprentice – Early Years
At Toad Hall Nursery, we are looking for passionate individuals aged 17+ who are eager to start a career in Early Years, return to work, or make a meaningful career change.
We welcome all applicants to join us as Modern Apprentices, enabling you to train alongside experienced childcare professionals while working towards a Level 3 qualification in Early Years.

How will I train as an apprentice?
- Work 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
- 20% of your time dedicated to off-the-job learning
- Supported study time to complete tasks with guidance from trainers

Future Opportunities
After qualifying, successful applicants may apply for internal Nursery Nurse roles, with potential for a long-term career in our growing nursery group. Many of our apprentices continue to progress within Early Years here.

Role Expectations
- Assist with daily routines: meals, playtime, naps, and personal care
- Follow nursery policies, safeguarding procedures, and health & safety guidelines
- Show genuine interest in child development and learning
- Demonstrate a passion for the Early Years sector
- Additional modelling and curriculum-based support involve further activities.
