Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Revenue & Benefits in our Finance Service as a Modern Apprentice Administrator. Within the team, you will learn how to administer mail - opening and sorting incoming secure mail including mail that’s sensitive, ensuring Data Protection is met. You will learn how to prepare, scan and index documents of the electronic document and records management system. You will also learn how to process all Education Maintenance Allowance claims, this includes creating accounts, verifying information, gathering household income for all relevant people, issuing learning agreements, once information is received, processing applications to determine if eligible for payment and communicating decision.

As a Modern Apprentice, you will undertake a Business Administration Modern Apprenticeship at SCQF 5 and undertake any other training relevant to the role. You will be 16-19 years old by September 2026 (or an official summer 2026 leaver) and be able to demonstrate enthusiasm this role and a commitment to learn. You will access training through a local training provider.
