Who we are
At TR, part of Trifast plc, we’re more than fasteners, we’re the trusted partner behind some of the world’s most advanced industries. As a global leader in the design, engineering, manufacture, and supply of fastenings and Category ‘C’ components, we deliver smart, efficient solutions that enhance performance across major assembly operations.
From Automotive to Smart Infrastructure and Medical Equipment, our focus on engineering excellence and streamlined supply keeps us at the forefront of progress.
We’re looking for a Modern Workplace Engineer to take on this brand new role to the organisation and enhance our Microsoft 365 and end-user computing environment.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Modern Workplace Engineer to join our IT Services function, supporting and enhancing our Microsoft 365 and end-user computing environment.
This is a hands-on technical engineering role sitting between the Global IT Service Desk and Infrastructure teams, acting as a key escalation point for complex incidents and service requests. The role plays a critical part in ensuring the stability, security, and continual improvement of Modern Workplace services across the organisation.
A key focus of the role is the ongoing support and governance of our established SharePoint Online environment within TR, alongside the management of identity and access services within Microsoft Entra ID. This includes maintaining scalable and secure group structures, including both dynamic and assigned Microsoft 365 and security groups, which are fundamental to access control and service delivery.
The role also spans enterprise endpoint management across Windows and Apple devices, supporting integration between Apple Business Manager and Microsoft Intune within the broader endpoint ecosystem.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
