Modern Workplace Engineer
Please note this role is an 18 month Fixed Term Contract
Our client is looking for a:
Modern Workplace Engineer
To maintain and improve enterprise-wide workplace technology across a large, public-facing organisation.
You will support:
- Microsoft 365
- Endpoint management
- Device deployment
- Software licensing
- Key business applications
Working across:
- Information Services
- Operational teams
- Product owners
- Third-party suppliers
This role is focused on:
- Improving service reliability
- Modernisation of workplace technology
- Supporting the move towards cloud-hosted services

- Maintain modern workplace services across:
- Microsoft 365
- Device management
- Software deployment
- Core business applications
- Provide third-line support for:
- Incidents
- Problems and service requests
- Collaboration with service delivery, infrastructure, cyber security, and application teams
- Manage:
- Endpoint deployment
- Device lifecycle
- Intune
- Autopilot
- GPOs
- Active Directory
- Entra
- Monitor:
- Service availability
- Performance
- System health
- Produce reports
- Recommend improvements
- Support selection, testing, and delivery of:
- New workplace technologies
- New software services
- Maintain:
- Documentation
- Technical roadmaps
- Licence records
- Service asset information
- Coordinate with:
- SaaS suppliers
- Hosting providers
- Upgrades
- Service enhancements
