Modern Workplace Engineer
Professional Services Engineer (Modern Workplace)
Location: Hybrid working Salary: Competitive package + benefits
We’re seeking an experienced Professional Services Engineer to join our growing Managed Services team, specialising in delivering Modern Workplace solutions across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
This role offers project delivery combined with technical consultancy, where you will:
- Design and implement secure, scalable cloud solutions
- Drive continuous improvement across customer environments through proactive optimisations and strategic guidance
- Collaborate with technical and account management teams, ensuring customers are supported and positioned for long-term success
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end Modern Workplace projects, including:
- Microsoft 365 migrations
- Intune deployments
- Azure Virtual Desktop implementations
- Design secure Microsoft 365 & Azure environments using modern security best practices
- Deploy Azure infrastructure, including:
- Networking
- Identity management
- Storage
- Cloud services
- Automate deployments and administrative tasks using PowerShell and other tools
- Analyse customer environments to identify opportunities for optimisation, automation, and cost savings
- Produce technical insights into:
- Security posture
- Licensing
- Infrastructure
- Lifecycle management
- Work closely with Account Management and Service Teams to support customer reviews and long-term technology planning
- Drive continuous improvement by:
- Identifying recurring issues
- Implementing permanent technical solutions

What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience delivering Microsoft 365 & Azure projects in a Professional/Managed Services environment
- Expertise in:
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune)
- Entra ID, Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender, and identity security
- Azure networking, backup, and virtual desktop technologies
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting & automation
- A customer-focused mindset able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
- Passion for problem-solving, service improvement, and delivering high-quality technical solutions
