Molder II – £14.70 per hour

Location: EMEA – United Kingdom – North Yorkshire – Skipton

Molder II – Key Responsibilities

  • Follow established procedures to apply resin, glass, and catalysts by hand or machine, ensuring standard and nonstandard components meet quality standards.
  • Prepare mold and tool surfaces by applying release film, wax, or other releases appropriately.
  • Demonstrate expertise in resins, glass reinforcement, catalysts, and mold releases, while adjusting techniques for changing environmental conditions.
  • Trim parts to precise dimensions using process sheets, drawings, and verbal guidance.
  • Inspect laminate surfaces for defects—including imperfections, foreign materials, or non-conformities—and make corrective adjustments.
  • Operate complex molding procedures with precision and reliability.
  • Transfer completed parts to shipping, holding, or designated areas after quality validation (where applicable).
  • Perform other duties as required.

Physical Work Requirements

This role demands physical involvement and familiarity with:

  • Standing for 8–10 hours/day
  • While performing tasks, be prepared to bend, reach, push/pull, and squat
  • Execute frequent lifting up to 100 lbs (46 kg)
  • Work with glass, solvents, paints, oils—requiring careful handling of materials and chemicals

  • Previous experience as a Laminator or Molder II in fiberglass/laminated manufacturing
  • Technical knowledge of materials—resins, glass reinforcement, catalysts, and release agents
  • Strong communication—ability to collaborate with colleagues and understand instructions
  • Problem-solving mindset paired with attention to detail
  • Experience operating in a busy manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work at heights and in tight spaces when necessary
  • Flexibility to manage variable/shift hours as required by operations
  • Commitment to safety—must comply with required personal protective equipment (PPE)
