Are you curious, motivated, and forward-thinking? At FIS you’ll have the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and relevant issues in financial services and technology. Our talented people empower us, and we believe in being part of a team that is open, collaborative, entrepreneurial, passionate and above all fun.

About the Role

The SMF 17 Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) at FIS is a senior leadership role within the Financial Crime Compliance function, responsible for the design, implementation, and oversight of the Financial Crime Compliance framework across the UK regulated business entities. The MLRO acts as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities and ensures the organisation meets all applicable financial crime regulatory requirements while effectively managing risk.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the financial crime compliance programme.
  • Act as the nominated MLRO and principal contact for regulators, law enforcement agencies, and Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs).
  • Oversee and manage Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR/STR) processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant submissions to relevant authorities.
  • Provide oversight and reporting to senior leadership and/or Board committees on financial crime risk, control effectiveness, and emerging regulatory developments.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial crime compliance policies, procedures, and controls aligned with FIS standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure effective transaction monitoring, customer due diligence (CDD), and enhanced due diligence (EDD) frameworks are in place and operating effectively.
  • Lead regulatory engagement, audits, and inspections, ensuring appropriate remediation plans are implemented where required.
  • Establish and deliver financial crime training and awareness programmes across the business.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and advisory support to business leaders on financial crime risks and controls.
  • Monitor financial crime risk metrics and provide management information (MI) reporting to relevant stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
