Are you a Monitoring Surveyor looking to build a long-term career in civil engineering on major infrastructure projects?

Our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor, is looking to appoint a Monitoring Surveyor to join their delivery team on a long-term infrastructure project. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in delivering complex and rewarding works, while progressing your career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission and maintain geotechnical monitoring instrumentation
- Carry out monitoring surveys and ensure accurate collection, collation and interpretation of monitoring data.
- Manage, record and file monitoring data, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
- Attend client meetings to discuss monitoring results and provide technical updates.
- Prepare Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Activity Briefings and Installation Commissioning Reports.
- Liaise effectively with clients, site management and internal project teams.
- Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures on site.
- Support continuous improvement and professional development.
- Develop an understanding of project costs, risk management and commercial awareness.

What We're Looking For
- Experience within geotechnical monitoring, instrumentation or a related engineering environment.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear technical reports.
- Strong AutoCAD skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and excellent overall IT skills.
- Good understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and industry best practice.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.
- Previous experience in a geotechnical monitoring or instrumentation role.
- BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering, Geology or a related discipline (or equivalent qualification).
