Mortgage Case Manager (Buy To Let)
Case Manager – Quantum Mortgages
As a Case Manager at Quantum Mortgages, you will be responsible for managing mortgage applications from initial receipt through to completion, ensuring full compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements before underwriting assessment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process mortgage applications to pre-defined standards and service level agreements from initial receipt through to completion.
- Manage the entire case pipeline, proactively tracking applications to agreed stages.
- Assess supporting documentation, identifying and escalating any issues to the underwriting team.
- Deliver proactive customer service via telephone, email, and letter to all stakeholders, including introducers, service suppliers, reference providers, and occasionally applicants.
- Maintain a high standard of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Support the underwriting team and colleagues to ensure a quick, compliant, and accurate decision-making process at every stage.
What We’re Looking For
Skills & Competencies

Knowledge
- In-depth understanding of the mortgage lifecycle, from application to completion.
- Strong expertise in Buy-to-Let (BTL) lending, including Limited Company, HMO, and Multi-Let structures.
- Familiarity with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and financial crime indicators.
- Full knowledge of Quantum Mortgages’ lending policies, procedures, and product criteria.
- Awareness of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in mortgage lending.

- Ability to make independent, calculated decisions with clear reasoning and rationality.
- Strong ability to assess mortgage applications against policy and criteria, applying sound judgment.
- Exceptional accuracy in data entry, documentation, and record-keeping.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging with brokers, underwriters, and applicants.
- Proficiency in mortgage processing systems and CRM platforms.
- Skilled in identifying and escalating complex or high-risk cases.
- Capable of managing a dynamic case pipeline and prioritising workloads efficiently.
- Ability to recognise vulnerable customers, potential complaints, or financial crime risks.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Proven track record in customer service or sales administration.
- Familiarity with mortgage regulations and compliance.
Desirable
- Experience in mortgage processing or case management.
- CeMAP or equivalent qualification.
- Background in the financial services or banking/lending industries.
- Experience with specialist lending or intermediary-based mortgage models.
- Knowledge of property investment structures (e.g., SPVs, portfolio landlords).
