Mot Tester / Quality Checker
We have an opportunity for a Mot Tester / Quality Checker to join our team at Porsche Centre Aberdeen.
About the Role
As a Mot / QC Tester, you will play a key role in ensuring every vehicle meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance before it reaches our customers. Working with precision and attention to detail, you will carry out MOT testing, quality checks, and inspections in line with manufacturer, VOSA, and company standards. Your technical skill, professionalism, and focus on quality will help build customer confidence and continue the Porsche brand’s reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
- Carry out MOT testing efficiently and accurately in line with VOSA standards
- Complete quality control inspections on vehicle repairs within the workshop, ensuring all work meets manufacturer standards
- Manage and maintain PCGB warranty standards across all relevant repair and inspection work
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with VOSA and company procedures
- Keep up to date with VOSA developments and guidance through the relevant portals
- Respond to internal enquiries relating to MOT testing and associated processes
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
- Adhere to VM and VOSA standards when clocking on and off jobs
- Carry out Vehicle Health Checks and CitNOW videos in line with VM guidelines
- Ensure all job card write-ups meet trading standards requirements and are clear, accurate, and legible
- Use time effectively, prioritising work where needed, identifying solutions, and adding value wherever possible

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician (VW Group experience would be an advantage)
- Strong mechanical knowledge and skills within diagnostic, servicing, and repair work
- A positive and inclusive attitude, who thrives in a collaborative, team environment
- Professional with a customer-focused approach
- Must be NVQ Level 3 qualified or equivalent and hold a current MOT tester's qualification. A MOT manager qualification would be an advantage, but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence
Hours of Work
- Monday to Thursday: 08.00 – 17.30
- Friday: 08.00 – 16.30
- Saturday on a rota basis: 08.00 – 12.00
These hours may vary according to seasonal demand.
- A uniform will be provided
