MOT TESTER

Earn up to £39,600 OTE per annum. Plus, get paid overtime for working on Saturdays!

Join the Hedin Automotive workshop team as an MOT Tester and play a key role in ensuring BMW and MINI vehicles meet the highest standards of safety, roadworthiness, and compliance. THE MAIN DUTIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE

  • Conducting MOT inspections in accordance with DVSA standards
  • Diagnosing, reporting, and rectifying vehicle faults accurately and efficiently
  • Performing MOT-related repairs where required
  • Carrying out thorough inspections of brakes, suspension, exhaust systems, emissions, and other key vehicle components
  • Maintaining accurate and compliant records of MOT test results
  • Performing servicing, maintenance, and repair work in accordance with BMW/MINI UK standards
  • Delivering high standards of technical advice, service, and maintenance to customers
  • Supporting workshop efficiency while ensuring all vehicles meet safety and environmental standards

YOUR PROFILE

  • Valid MOT Tester qualification
  • Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification, ATA accreditation, or equivalent
  • Proven experience in vehicle maintenance and repair within a dealership or independent garage environment
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

SALARY AND HOURS

  • Basic salary £28,050 with an OTE of up to £39,600 + per annum.
  • Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm with Sat, 8am to 12.30pm on a 1 in 4 rota basis, paid as overtime hours.
