About the Role
An exciting opportunity has opened for a qualified MOT Tester to join a thriving and established automotive business in Honiton. This role provides a fantastic work-life balance, along with competitive remuneration and flexible Monday-to-Friday working hours.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing MOT tests to DVSA standards, supporting the workshop team with vehicle diagnostics and maintaining high standards of health and safety while delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations.
- Complete MOT documentation and vehicle assessments with accuracy and precision.
- Identify and report vehicle defects along with recommendations for repairs.
- Ensure adherence to high standards of workmanship and compliance.
- Offer assistance with vehicle servicing and minor repairs as required.
- Strictly follow all health and safety procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service through precise and professional vehicle reporting.
Requirements
Essential
- Valid MOT Tester licence.
- Previous automotive workshop experience.
- In-depth knowledge of DVSA testing standards and procedures.
- Full UK driving licence in possession.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable (but welcome)
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Work experience in a main dealer or independent garage.
- Diagnostic and servicing expertise.
