Company Description STRETTONS MOT STATION LTD is an established vehicle testing and service company based in Church Fenton, LS24.
The team provides MOT testing and related automotive services to local drivers and businesses.
Operating as a focused MOT station, the company is committed to accurate, compliant inspections and reliable customer service. Prospective team members can expect to join a small, hands-on environment where quality, safety, and professionalism are central to daily work.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a MOT Tester based in Church Fenton.
The MOT Tester will carry out MOT inspections in line with DVSA regulations for a range of vehicles, accurately recording results and completing all required documentation.

Daily tasks include performing safety and emissions checks, identifying defects, advising on necessary repairs, and ensuring vehicles meet legal standards.

The role also involves maintaining testing equipment, keeping the testing area clean and organized, and working closely with colleagues to deliver efficient and courteous customer service. The MOT Tester is expected to follow all health and safety procedures and support the smooth running of the MOT station.
Qualifications
- Valid DVSA-approved MOT Tester qualification and authorisation to test relevant vehicle classes.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics, safety standards, and MOT testing procedures.
- Attention to detail, accurate record-keeping, and the ability to follow regulatory guidelines.
- Effective communication skills for explaining findings and advising customers clearly and professionally.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and contribute positively to a small team.
- Commitment to health and safety, with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment.
- Previous experience in an MOT station or automotive workshop is highly beneficial.
- Full, clean driving license and eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
