HiQ Tyres & Autocare has an exciting new opportunity for a MOT Tester Technician to join our team. The role is offered on a full-time permanent basis, Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm – half a day finish on a Saturday, salary depending on experience.
What you will be doing as a MOT Tester Technician:
Work on all makes and models of vehicles Perform diagnostics, servicing, and repairs Handle brakes, tyres, and wheel alignment Inspect vehicle components, including brakes, lights, steering, and exhaust systems. Conduct MOT tests on various types of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to perform necessary repairs or adjustments. Document test results accurately and provide feedback to vehicle owners regarding any issues found. Stay updated on changes in MOT regulations and testing procedures. Always maintain health and safety standards, working within company guidelines and safe working practices. Complete job cards, maintenance records, and associated paperwork to a high standard To undertake any additional duties (within reason) for the efficient running of the Store. To carry out administration duties as required within the store. Assist in carrying out regular stock checks in accordance with Company Policy.

What you will need:
Experience within a in a fast-fit car centre or a recognised vehicle franchise dealership. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools. A valid MOT Tester licence is essential. Vehicle technician qualification and relevant experience. Must have a full driver’s licence with no more than 9 points.
