Job Opening: MOT Technician
Location: Buckinghamshire (Jaguar Land Rover dealership)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: OTE £43,000 (£31,000 to £37,000 per annum based on experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week –
- Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 17:00
- Saturday: 08:00 – 12:00 (as per rota)
Role Description
Buckinghamshire Jaguar Land Rover are recruiting for a MOT Tester to join their fantastic workshop.
You’ll work alongside a team of highly experienced technicians and play a vital role by:
- Carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology
- Conducting vehicle services
- Performing any additional repairs
You will report to the Aftersales Manager, who will offer ongoing support and ensure you have everything you need to succeed.

You’ll play a critical role in our Service team by ensuring first-class customer service is delivered every time.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles
- Perform checks in line with manufacturers’ guidelines
- Fit any additional accessories requested by customers
- Complete a vehicle health check and report further work that may be required
- Inspect vehicle lights, tyre pressure, mechanical and electrical components
- Complete minor repairs on new and used vehicles
- Carry out vehicle servicing and MOTs in line with manufacturer guidelines and customer requests
- Take customer vehicles on a road test to ensure all faults are rectified
- Maintain relevant paperwork to a high standard

Qualifications & Requirements
We are looking for an ideal candidate with:
- A minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent motor industry experience (brand or non-brand preferred)
- A valid MOT Licence
- A full and valid UK driving licence
- Self-motivation, strong team support skills, ambition, and a drive to learn
- Commitment to maintaining high standards for vehicles
