The role will close when a suitable candidate is found Location: This role is available in our Global Headquarters in Cambridge, as well as our London, Manchester, Bristol, and Edinburgh offices About the Role As a Motion Designer in our Creative team, you will be at the forefront of delivering diverse and intricate motion design projects for both our clients in the healthcare sector and the company. You will be involved in every stage of the project lifecycle, from initial concept development to full production, allowing for real autonomy and creativity. This involves early-stage collaboration with other designers, project managers, and clients to define the project scope and objectives. You will then produce high-quality motion design materials, providing technical insight and offering guidance as needed. At Costello Medical, our Creative team is passionate about data visualisation and enhancing the communication of scientific content. Examples of our work can be found here: https://www.costellomedical.com/what-we-do/medical-communications/creative/portfolio/ Key responsibilities will include: Developing Motion Content: Creating a wide range of motion content, including complex 2D and 3D animations, detailed “explainer” videos, as well as interactive visuals for both internal teams and external clients Filming: Collaborating with project teams to plan and deliver small-scale on-site filming, ensuring high-quality video and audio are captured for post-production Video and Audio Editing: Supporting project teams with post-production video and audio editing for live and virtual events Strong Collaboration: Working closely with creative colleagues and project managers at the outset of projects to determine the design scope, purpose, and strategic approach to be taken Effective Communication: Clearly communicating project requirements to project teams and providing input on any technical queries Quality and Delivery: Ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality Exceptional Service: Providing outstanding customer service, building strong partnerships with internal teams and external clients Hybrid Working Policy: We believe that having face-to-face time in the office holds many benefits and is central to ensuring that the community we have created, where people have a workplace they belong to and feel part of, is never lost. You will have a great understanding of aesthetics and meticulous attention to detail. You will also take pride in delivering a consistently exceptional service to both colleagues and clients within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role requires a problem-solving mindset, strong analytical skills, as well as an enthusiasm for learning new technologies to produce high-quality project deliverables. Essential requirements for the role are: A degree-level or higher qualification in a design-related discipline (minimum 2.1 or equivalent), in addition to a highly innovative portfolio. We welcome applications from candidates with a diverse range of specialisms, including but not limited to; Motion Design, Animation, Visual Effects, Film and Media Production Extensive experience using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects Proven experience creating animations and/or video editing for various digital channels Familiarity with other programs in the Adobe Creative Cloud, such as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, as well as other motion-related software Some professional experience within an agency or commercial setting A problem-solving mindset, and the ability to think outside the box Exceptional organisational and time management skills, a high level of productivity, and the flexibility to adapt to changing deadlines Excellent attention to detail Strong communication skills and the ability to build robust and sustainable working relationships Desired requirements for the role are: Experience in filming, with knowledge of pre-production and post-production processes Experience creating 3D animations We welcome applications from experienced Motion Designers and those with a genuine interest in the healthcare industry who are looking to build a creative career in this field.
