Established in 1981 with a single store in the Northwest of England, the JD Group is a leading omni-channel retailer of Sports Fashion, Outdoors and Gyms with our colleagues working in stores across several retail fascias in many markets around the world. Role Overview
You will play a key role in producing high-quality motion content across multiple platforms and channels within the JD Group. You will bring creative ideas to life, working closely with senior designers and the wider creative team to deliver engaging, on-brand motion graphics that resonate with our audience.
This position requires strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage projects from concept through to execution. You should be comfortable working under pressure, meeting deadlines, and adapting to evolving briefs.

You will also be expected to take ownership of smaller campaigns and contribute to larger projects, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills. You will support the team by sharing knowledge, offering creative input, and maintaining a positive, proactive approach to challenges.
Key Areas Of Responsibility
- Produce motion design for various platforms, sometimes to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining high quality across all outputs.
- Collaborate cross-function to produce impactful motion whilst maintaining the integrity of the original design / artwork / creative supplied.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of work is upheld during rollouts and assets are produced efficiently and on time.
- Work independently and as part of a squad, to conceptualise and deliver high quality motion across all channels.
- Work in harmony and closely with seniors, leads, peers, workflow managers and where necessary producers and project managers.
- Maintain good levels of organisation and communication with seniors, leads, peers, the team, other functions and stakeholders.
- Design within JD brand guidelines and ensure all content is produced in a customer focused manner maintaining quality standards.
- Follow the QC & sign of process. Follow the department’s file structure, naming conventions and archival structures. Utilise project management systems effectively and employ a methodical approach to digital asset management and project organisation.
- Be a team player and understand that there will be times when you are asked to do ad hoc work to meet goals, achieve objectives and deliver for business needs, which may not be outlined in your job description.
- Ensure you are punctual and start work at your contracted time.
- Ensure wfh / studio split is in line with policy and your presence in the studio is consistent.
- Maintain awareness of relevant industry technology / innovations and software releases, sharing knowledge with the team and pitching ideas to management to ensure approach, processes and techniques remain current and efficient.
