Role Description
You will join our Motor Claims team, playing a key role in delivering excellent outcomes for customers by investigating and settling claims fairly and efficiently. This is a great opportunity to develop your claims expertise within a supportive, high-performing environment.
Location
This role is based in our Chelmsford, Leeds, or Bournemouth office, please note that this is a hybrid working role with the expectation that you attend the office 2-16 days per month.
You will work flexibly across shift patterns, with start times between 8:00 am – 11:30 am and occasional weekend working (approximately one day every three weeks)
This is a full-time position - 37.5 hours on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Salary Information
- Pay: Circa £26,227.50 per year.
- Pay is based on experience, skills, and location and is part of our total reward package.
About You
- Register and validate new motor claims promptly, accurately applying policy terms and conditions
- Investigate, negotiate, and settle claims within your authority limits to deliver fair and timely outcomes
- Manage a varied caseload, including identifying and handling potential fraud through evidence gathering and risk assessment
- Liaise with underwriters, suppliers, solicitors, and loss adjusters to ensure smooth claim resolution
- Maintain accurate reserves and process payments in line with company guidelines and regulatory standards
- Manage internal tasks such as diaries, inactivity, cheques, and recoveries within agreed timeframes
- Escalate claims outside your authority in line with referral processes
- Support team development by sharing knowledge and assisting less experienced colleagues
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the customer experience through innovation and technology

- Strong organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage a busy caseload
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach
- Confidence working in a telephony-based environment

- Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset
Desirable Skills
- Previous insurance or claims handling experience
- Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage
