Job Title

Motor Insurance Renewals Executive

Reporting To

Renewals Team Leader

Job Purpose

We are looking for a motivated, customer-focused individual to join our team as a Motor Insurance Renewals Agent. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing customer renewals, delivering outstanding customer service, and maximising retention by providing competitive motor insurance solutions.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in motor insurance, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships with customers. Experience using the Open GI Software House platform is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Renewal Management: Contact existing customers prior to their renewal date to review their current motor insurance policy and discuss their renewal options.
  • Customer Retention: Retain customers by identifying their needs, handling objections effectively, and providing competitive insurance solutions while delivering excellent customer outcomes.
  • Policy Reviews: Conduct comprehensive fact-finding conversations to ensure customers have the most appropriate level of cover based on their current circumstances.
  • Quotation & Pricing: Prepare and present accurate renewal quotations, liaising with insurers and underwriters where required to obtain the best available terms.
  • Negotiation: Confidently negotiate with customers to secure renewals while balancing customer satisfaction and business objectives.
  • Cross-Selling Opportunities: Identify opportunities to introduce additional insurance products or optional extras where appropriate and beneficial to the customer.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all customer interactions and sales activities comply with FCA regulations, Consumer Duty requirements, and internal company procedures.
  • Administration: Maintain accurate customer records and complete all policy documentation promptly and accurately.
  • Customer Service: Deliver a professional, friendly, and efficient service throughout every customer interaction.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, insurers, and underwriters to provide the best possible customer experience.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in motor insurance, particularly within renewals or customer retention, is essential.
  • Experience using the Open GI Software House platform is highly desirable.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Strong negotiation and objection-handling abilities.
  • Proven ability to achieve retention and performance targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good IT skills and experience using insurance systems and CRM platforms.
  • Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach.
