Motor Pricing Manager – PCW Trading

London, Norwich or Leeds - and we're happy to consider flexible / hybrid working depending on your location.

Motor Pricing sits at the centre of how we balance performance, customer outcomes and competitive positioning. At Aviva, we're continuing to invest in how we build, deploy and optimise pricing at scale.

This is an opportunity to sit at the heart of commercial decision-making for some of our fastest-growing products and channels. You'll play a key role in shaping pricing and trading strategies across our Price Comparison Website (PCW) business, helping us optimise growth, profitability and customer outcomes.

A bit about the job

Our Motor Retail Pricing team brings together capabilities across Risk, Insights, Trading and Projects, giving you exposure to the full pricing lifecycle.

As a Motor Pricing Manager within our PCW Trading team, you'll own and influence trading decisions across a dynamic and highly competitive market. Using data, insight and market intelligence, you'll help determine the optimal balance between profit and volume, ensuring we maximise business value while maintaining a strong customer proposition.

You'll work closely with stakeholders across Pricing, Data and the wider business, contributing to strategic decisions that directly impact performance.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading pricing and trading activity across our PCW products and channels.
  • Influencing the execution of profit and volume trade-offs to maximise business value.
  • Monitoring market and competitor activity to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Translating data into clear, actionable insight to support commercial decision-making.
  • Using tools such as Radar to optimise pricing and support delivery to market.
  • Working with stakeholders across Pricing, Data and the wider business to deliver pricing changes.
  • Supporting and mentoring others within the team.
  • Driving continuous improvement in pricing tools, processes and ways of working.

Skills and experience we're looking for

  • Strong experience in General Insurance pricing, ideally within Motor.
  • Excellent analytical capability, with experience using tools such as Radar, SQL and/or Python.
  • Experience developing pricing models, including multivariate techniques (e.g. Emblem or similar).
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance growth and profitability objectives.
  • Ability to turn data into clear, commercially relevant insight.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions.
  • Experience working within a trading or commercially focused pricing environment would be beneficial.
  • A proactive approach, balancing technical, commercial and customer considerations.
