Motor Vehicle Technician

Vehicle Technician – Permanent Role (GL1, Gloucester)

Reactive Permanent Recruitment have been working for a highly reputable and leading name within the automotive industry for many years. Due to ongoing success, they are now seeking experienced Vehicle Technicians to join their Gloucester (GL1) site.


Package Offer

  • Core salary: Excellent basic (negotiable) with high bonus potential, offering up to £40,000 pa
  • Overtime: Paid at x1.5
  • Premium working environment from their prestigious Gloucester headquarters
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, with 1 Saturday in 3
  • Training & Development: Full manufacturer-backed technical training and support
  • Holiday: 22 days per year + bank holidays (progressive increases with tenure)

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance & Repairs: Perform servicing and diagnose/fix faults – in workshops and on-site
  • Technical Standards: Work to brand-specific and safety protocols, ensuring first-time fixes
  • Efficiency Drive: Optimise workshop workflows and equipment for maximum productivity
  • Continuous Learning: Engage in ongoing technical enhancements and brand-specific coaching

Requirements & Preferences

Essential

✔ Full UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) ✔ Qualified to Level 3 (City & Guilds/NVQ in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair) ✔ Strong attention to detail with a customer-focused approach

Preferred

🚗 Experience from a main dealership (alternative background considered)


This role is open to applications for positions as Vehicle Technician, MOT Tester, Senior Vehicle Technician, Mechanic and Senior Mechanic across Gloucester & Gloucestershire (GL1).
