Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Motorcycle Mechanic role based in Tadcaster. The Motorcycle Mechanic will perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and repair work on a range of bikes, including inspections, parts replacement, adjustments, and safety checks. The role includes identifying mechanical and electrical issues, using appropriate tools and equipment, and following manufacturer and workshop standards. The mechanic will maintain accurate records of work completed, support ordering and fitting of parts, and help keep the workshop clean, safe, and organized. Daily responsibilities also involve interacting with customers, explaining work performed or required, and contributing to overall customer satisfaction and workshop efficiency. Qualifications Strong technical skills in motorcycle and vehicle maintenance, including diagnostics, repairs, and routine servicing. Hands-on experience working with bikes, with sound knowledge of motorcycle systems, components, and safety standards. Effective communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers and team members. Focus on customer satisfaction, with a professional approach to customer service and relationship building. Relevant vocational training, apprenticeship, or certification in motorcycle or automotive mechanics (or equivalent experience). Ability to follow health and safety procedures, manage time effectively, and work accurately with minimal supervision. Comfort using basic diagnostic tools, workshop equipment, and repair documentation or service manuals. Full, valid motorcycle and driving licenses are beneficial.
