Santa Pod Raceway is the UK's home of drag racing and one of the busiest motorsport venues in Europe, hosting events from club race days through to FIA-sanctioned international meetings. Our in-house medical department delivers CQC-registered pre-hospital and event medical care across a season running March to November.
The role
You'll provide frontline clinical care at motorsport events, working within a structured Event Medical Plan alongside our wider clinical team, including nurses, technicians, and a Chief Medical Officer at our larger events. Santa Pod events range from routine club racing to major international meetings, so you'll be working across everything from minor injury management through to major trauma response and extrication support, at a venue where vehicles regularly exceed 300mph.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This is an employed position, not casual or self-employed work. You'll be on a contract of employment with Trakbak Racing Limited, with holiday pay accrued and paid monthly.
What you'll need
- Current HCPC registration as a Paramedic
- Must be outside your Newly Qualified Paramedic (NQP) period, working at Band 6 or equivalent
- Currently working in a clinical setting outside event medicine, such as ambulance service, urgent care, or emergency department. We value clinical currency, and event medicine alone doesn't provide the breadth of exposure needed to keep your practice sharp
- DBS registered on the Update Service, or willing to obtain one at your own cost
