THE ROLE
This is an exciting role and an amazing opportunity to join Moving Venue (on a temporary basis), a privately owned group of hospitality, catering and event management businesses based in South East London.
Moving Venue has a prestigious history of over 40 years as one of the leading event caterers in the capital, operating events across some of the most Unique Venues of London ranging from Museums, Palaces and Galleries to blank canvases and warehouse spaces.

Food is the beating heart of our company. Our desserts are creatively designed, visually stunning and taste delicious. Using the finest, sustainably sourced ingredients, we love creating exquisite desserts, sweet treats, and afternoon teas, that not only look amazing but taste amazing too.
The candidate will be a key member of the kitchen brigade, assisting the senior kitchen team. The candidate will be required to ensure that Moving Venue continues to operate its events to an ‘industry-leading’ standard.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Work efficiently under pressure, adapting to the dynamic needs of each event.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and timely service.
About You
- Enjoy being part of a bustling kitchen environment and thrive in teamwork.
- Possess the confidence to assume responsibility and provide support to the senior team in effectively managing kitchen operations.
- Previous experience in large-scale events is preferred but not mandatory. Equally important is proficiency in coordinating more intimate, high-end events.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate the capacity to foster positive working relationships within the team, across departments, and with external colleagues.
- Have a strong knowledge of food seasonality and trends and have excellent technical abilities.
- Be highly organised and have a logical approach to prioritising the workload.
- Always strive for excellence in every aspect, whether it’s in planning, production, or service delivery.
- Have a can-do positive attitude.
