Position Summary
This role will operate within the FCS (Ford Component Sales) MP&L and Purchasing Teams in Dunton, UK, as an MP&L Operations Co-ordinator. The position is responsible for supporting:
- End-to-end material planning
- Parts scheduling
- Logistics coordination
- Supplier management
The role ensures the timely and efficient movement of automotive components across the supply chain.
Key activities include:
- Utilising Ford internal systems (e.g., CMMS, SNC, SAP, Salesforce)
- Coordinating parts supply activities
- Monitoring order fulfilment
- Managing inbound logistics
- Supporting operational continuity
Collaborative requirements:
- Suppliers
- Ford plants
- FCSD (Ford Component Sales Distribution)
- Warehouse operations
- Consolidators
- Purchasing
- Logistics providers
The successful candidate will:
- Support operational planning
- Resolve supply chain issues
- Maintain accurate system data
- Drive continuous improvement in MP&L processes
Key Responsibilities
Material & Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate material planning and logistics to meet customer/operational requirements.
- Create, order, and schedule automotive parts via Ford internal systems and global supplier networks.

Supplier & Delivery Oversight
- Monitor supplier deliveries.
- Follow up on non-shipped or delayed parts with suppliers, FCSD, and Ford plants.
Supply Route & Sourcing Analytics
- Analyse supply routes and sourcing feasibility (using internal systems) to determine optimal solutions based on:
- Cost
- Lead time
- Logistics efficiency
Stakeholder Liaison
- Liaise closely with:
- Purchasing
- Suppliers
- Warehouse operations
- Consolidators
- Logistics providers
- Prioritise supply chain continuity.
Inbound Logistics Management
- Oversee inbound logistics via third-party carriers for:
- Timeous delivery
- Alignment with UK/Germany warehouse operations
Warehouse Operations Support
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure:
- Receipt accuracy
- Processing timelines
- On-time fulfilment for customer due dates
Issue Resolution
- Investigate and resolve issues involving:
- Inbound/outbound material shortages
- Overage discrepancies
- Shipping errors
- Delivery delays
System & Documentation Compliance
- Maintain and update internal systems:
- Salesforce
- SAP
- SNC
- CMMS
- Order tracking tools
- Ensure:
- Data accuracy
- Aligns with FCS and Ford processes
Customs & Compliance
- Support:
- Customs documentation (UK/EU shipments)
- Export requirements
Reporting & Compliance
- Generate:
- Operational reports
- Supply chain performance metrics
- Support annual compliance reviews:
- Ford AFRs (Audit Findings Reports)

Essential
- Previous experience in:
- MP&L
- Supply chain
- Logistics

- Administrative roles
