The School of the Biological Sciences is seeking an enthusiastic, versatile and proactive individual to join a supportive team based in the School's Postgraduate Office as an MPhil Programme Co-ordinator. This is a fixed term appointment for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

The postholder will line manage two MPhil Administrators and will oversee the coordination of the multi-pathway programme, ensuring the smooth delivery of this 11-month programme. You will need excellent communication skills to deal with a wide range of people including applicants, students, Pathway Course Directors and staff in departments and institutes across the University. Previous line-management experience is desirable but not essential.

The position is available from 1 October 2026. Interviews are expected to take place online week beginning 17th August.

Temporary cover:

This post is fixed-term for 1 year or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier.

Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment.

The post is offered to internal candidates only on the basis of a secondment from their current role in the University.
