About The Role
Join our Diagnostic Imaging team as an MRI Healthcare Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care throughout the MRI journey. Working alongside Radiographers and the wider multidisciplinary team, you'll help ensure patients receive a safe, efficient and reassuring experience while supporting the smooth running of a busy MRI service. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring, patient-focused individual looking to develop their knowledge of MRI safety and diagnostic imaging.

What you'll be doing
- Supporting patients before, during and after MRI examinations.
- Assisting with patient preparation, identification and MRI safety screening.
- Providing reassurance and support to anxious, vulnerable or mobility-impaired patients.
- Assisting Radiographers with patient positioning, transfers and departmental workflow.
- Maintaining high standards of infection prevention, cleanliness and MRI safety.
- Managing stock levels, replenishing consumables and carrying out basic equipment checks.
- Updating patient information accurately on clinical IT systems and supporting administrative processes.
- Working collaboratively with Radiographers, Nurses and the wider healthcare team to deliver an outstanding patient experience.

What we'll look for in you
- A caring and compassionate approach with a genuine commitment to patient-centred care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to put patients at ease.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety procedures accurately.
- Confidence working in a fast-paced healthcare environment as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Good organisational and IT skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
- An understanding of confidentiality, dignity, safeguarding and professional standards.
- A flexible and proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn and develop within MRI services.
