POSITION SUMMARY:
The MRI Technologist performs complete and diagnostic Magnetic Resonance imaging studies of pediatric patients for radiologist interpretation.
Key Accountabilities
- Produces and evaluates images according to defined protocols to assist the radiologist with timely interpretation of imaging exams and patients for treatment and plan of care for patients
- Adheres to Radiology specific policies in regards to patient safety that are established by the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, regulatory, and accreditation governing bodies
- Maintains required levels of education that pertain to clinical, family, and patient centered care
- Protects and complies with Magnetic Resonance Zone safety possessing knowledge of restrictions and contraindications; screens patient for contraindications to MRI and contrast administration in compliance with ACR guideline for MR Safety
- Supports anesthesia staff in collaboration with Radiology nursing staff to prepare and monitor sedated patients in the MRI environment

Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology program
- 3 years’ MRI experience required in neuro, body, musculoskeletal and vascular areas
- A.R.R.T. (R) (MR); Florida Radiography License; Current Basic Life Support, AHA
- Strong computer skills in multiple databases for the acquisition and manipulation of image data, utilizing 3d, neuro-functional post-processing workstations, PACS and electronic charting
- MRI contrast administration with IV skills

Shift:
Mon - Fri, Day Shift 8:00 AM - 4:30PM; on-call rotation may include weekends

Status:
Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Salary Range:
Minimum 37.07/hour - Maximum 59.32/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
