Salary £40,000 - £47,500 Per Annum (depending On Experience)
37.5 hours per week

As an MRI/CT Radiographer at Guildford Nuffield Hospital, you will have abundant opportunities to develop yourself and learn about the services we provide. As one of Nuffield's hospitals for cardiac services, previous experience in Cardiac MRI and/or CT is highly desirable, as is experience with Siemens equipment.
As an MRI/CT Radiographer, you will:
- Have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent),
- A postgraduate qualification and/or high levels of technical knowledge (desirable).
- Experience in a wide variety of MRI scans, including Cardiac MRI and/or CT, is highly desirable.
- Have an understanding and empathetic approach to patients and staff alike.
- Be respectful towards all individuals, including staff, patients and visitors.
- Have a proactive and forward-thinking approach to work.
- Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Main duties and responsibilities:
- Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload.
- Be highly proficient in the use of all equipment within scope of practice.
- Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment and facilities.
- Supervise and develop junior colleagues.
- Responsible for MRI safety in line with local rules.
- To work within IRMER and own scope of practice, in accordance with the code of conduct set out by the HCPC.
- Participate in departmental audits and Quality Assurance programmes.
- Provide support to the Clinical Lead Radiographers.
- Ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose and can report faults in line with Nuffield Health policy.
- Competency in intravenous cannulation and administration of contrast media is essential.
- Provide input to the review, update and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes.
- Comply with all Nuffield Health policies and procedures.
- Ensure all records are maintained in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
- Participate in on-call rota.

Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital provides high-quality healthcare working with leading Consultants to offer a range of services and treatments for preventing, diagnosing and treating a wide array of medical conditions and offer a wide range of complex surgery and services. We are proud to have received a "good" rating from the health care regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Our facilities include 49 en-suite patient bedrooms, 4 operating theatres, acute dependency and oncology units. We’ve been awarded the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark for cancer care and our Endoscopy service has achieved JAG accreditation. Our site is shared with an NHS Trust hospital, giving us access to their facilities. The working atmosphere is highly professional and stimulating, yet friendly and collaborative like that of a large family unit.
