About the role Job Summary Sulzer GT Aero is seeking an experienced MRO Gas Turbine Engineer to provide technical expertise and support for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of gas turbine components and systems. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of critical equipment for our clients. Job Responsibilities Setting technical specifications for the overhaul, inspection, and repair of aero-derivative gas turbines Overseeing disassembly, inspection and reassembly activities, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, tolerances and standards Leading troubleshooting and diagnostic investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions Driving continuous improvement initiatives, applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime Collaborating with cross-functional teams including design engineers, OEMs, supply chain, and operations to deliver seamless project execution Job Qualifications Strong technical expertise in gas turbines and rotating equipment, with practical experience of MRO environments Proven track record in repair schemes, diagnostics, and troubleshooting Knowledge of RB211 and/or Avon products (desirable but not essential) Experience in root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions The ability to interpret data from sensors and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve faults A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience (preferred) A collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills and attention to detail What we offer you A competitive base salary Annual Bonus scheme based on personal and company performance 33 days’ annual leave Private Medical Insurance (Self) Access free on-site parking and employee discounts across shopping, lifestyle, and entertainment Use our Employee Assistance Programme for confidential support services and wellbeing resources Develop your skills through continuous learning and Sulzer Learning Pathways Be part of a supportive, innovative team with genuine opportunities for career progression Sulzer is an equal opportunity employer.
