The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

Job Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated MSK Physiotherapist to join our friendly and proactive multidisciplinary team at Victoria Hospital, Rothesay.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to develop and consolidate your MSK expertise while delivering high-quality outpatient care to people living with musculoskeletal conditions in the unique rural setting of Argyll and Bute.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work as an autonomous practitioner within the MSK Physiotherapy Service, providing comprehensive assessment, clinical diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment for patients with a wide range of complex presentations. You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of a modern, person-centred MSK service.

As a senior physiotherapist, you will also contribute to the development of colleagues, including junior physiotherapists, physiotherapy assistants, and students. This may involve line management responsibilities, clinical supervision, mentorship, and acting as a placement educator.

You will have opportunities to participate in service evaluation, quality improvement, and ongoing service development to ensure our MSK provision remains effective, efficient, and aligned with best practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
