Job title: MTO Business Unit Expeditor

Department: MTO Despatch

Location: Hamble (Onsite)

GLS: P01

Working hours: Mon – Fri 37.5 hours a week

Internal Applications Only

Supports scheduling of Line side silver stock, and responsible for overseeing progress of MTO orders from receipt through to shipping. Interacts with both internal BU teams and external Customer Service & Key account personnel.

Job Summary:

Under general guidance, performs tasks related to monitoring orders and workflow. Maintains reports, creates schedules, and monitors orders to expedite in response to changing priorities. Compares identifying information with various software applications, orders and other records. Works closely with cross functional teams to form and maintain effective communications.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:

  • Daily support of orders using Production Management systems with a basic understanding of other functional/designated areas to ensure orders are processed correctly.
  • Maintain reports related to aging orders to ensure service levels are met. Tracks any system related issues and makes recommendations for enhancements, raises IT tickets when necessary and tracks their progress.
  • Corrects any sales order and production order related issues to allow order to be processed which would meet service level.
  • Track, investigate and resolve any aging Lots to ensure they are progressing. Maintain and refresh knowledge of each work stream for all MTO products.
  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and works with Business Systems Team regarding issues and enhancements. Recommend process improvements.
  • Support, resolve, and escalate functional production issues/problems.
  • Perform functional and administrative duties necessary to maintain the Biofinity MTO (Stock).
  • Using a variety of system reports to monitor stock consumption in order to plan and provide timely replenishment schedules for the necessary supply lines.
  • Perform audits of Stocked Lots, observing expiration dates to ensure FIFO is being maintained.
  • Support Cycle counting activities.
  • Point of contact for Business Partner enquiries relating to MTO orders.
  • Build and maintain effective communications with key contacts in Customer Services and other DC’s.
  • Performs job functions throughout Manufacturing processes and through Shipping as required.
  • Work to established procedures, perform all operations and final packaging of product to meet or exceed established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Understands, acknowledges, and follows quality requirements, safety policies, and other company policies.
  • Performs other duties as required.
