Information Officer (Safeguarding) – Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)

Location: Headquarters, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire Contract Type: Fixed Term Hours: Full Time (37 hours per week) Salary: Scale 4 – £27,204

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and analytical individual to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) as an Information Officer. This critical role centres on protecting vulnerable children and adults by identifying risk, gathering intelligence, and facilitating effective multi-agency safeguarding responses.

The successful candidate will have a key role in reviewing and progressing disclosure applications under schemes such as:

  • Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme (Clare’s Law)
  • Child Sex Offender Disclosure Scheme (Sarah’s Law)

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and process Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme (DVDS) and Child Sex Offender Disclosure Scheme (CSODS) applications, conducting detailed research across police systems.
  • Assess safeguarding risks involving vulnerable individuals and determine appropriate action.
  • Compile clear, concise reports and disclosure rationales for supervisory approval.
  • Share sensitive information with partner agencies in adherence to safeguarding protocols and GDPR.
  • Support MASH operations, including inbox management and intelligence research.

Skills and Experience

  • Agile working available, with occasional travel across Cambridgeshire required.
  • NPPV2 vetting clearance mandatory.
  • Occasional extra hours may be necessary.
