About the Position
The Multi-Asset Investment Liaison acts as a key catalyst for growth and collaboration within Global Investment Operations. In this dynamic role, you will serve as the primary bridge between our Multi-Asset investment management and various operational teams, actively enhancing your subject matter expertise through on-the-job learning and mentorship.
As a Multi-Asset Investment Liaison, you'll play a vital role in:
- Supporting portfolio management operations
- Representing our investment strategies to internal groups
- Facilitating effective communication with the investment staff
- Contributing to team building, knowledge sharing, and spearheading departmental initiatives such as new system development, testing, and working group support

Role Summary
- Supports investment teams throughout the entire client life cycle, managing pivotal investment-related and operational activities
- Acts as a vital link for investments, leveraging foundational business and technical expertise to navigate complex operational challenges
- Requires a conceptual understanding of theories and practices in the discipline, working within established procedures to achieve goals and meet deadlines
- Takes ownership of contributions, ensuring work consistently meets team objectives for quality and timeliness
- Operates within established guidelines for daily tasks while having opportunities to receive guidance on new assignments
Responsibilities
Under the general guidance of senior team members and management, the role supports ongoing operational activities associated with portfolio management of multiple investment strategies of low to moderate complexity. Key activities include:

- Research and analysis
- Researching and analyzing investment and performance data
- Generating bespoke investment-, risk-, and performance-related reporting
- Operational support
- Providing operational support for model portfolios
- Ensuring coordination of corporate action events responses
- Pre-trade compliance and data maintenance
- Resolving pre-trade compliance issues
- Maintaining strategy-level data, benchmarks, and performance composites
- Trade processing and conflict resolution
- Processing discretionary trade orders
- Resolving low to moderately complex investment-related operational issues independently
- Mentorship
- May act as a resource for junior members, helping them complete operational activities
With some autonomy in decision-making
- Reviews prospectus language and proposes investment guidelines
- Instructs opening of foreign market trading accounts
- Establishes standing instructions with internal and external parties
Coordinating ad-hoc requests
- Uses discretion to coordinate portfolio manager responses to internal quantitative data inquiries from:
- Internal teams
- Clients
- Consultants
- Prospects
- Drafts responses to complex requests for review by more experienced managers
Data review & content development
- Reviews content and sources for standard investment data to be used in:
- Client meetings
- Marketing materials
- Client reporting
- Internal investment committee meetings
- Develops content as directed by investment staff and senior team members
Project participation & system testing
- Serves as a project participant in investment-initiated projects (with guidance and oversight)
- Develops use cases and testing plans
- Contributes to unit testing as needed to ensure successful outcomes

Procedural documentation & training
- Maintains accurate and complete procedural documentation for assigned strategy(ies)
- Participates in cross-training exercises
- Provides operational coverage as needed for a defined subset of investment strategies
- Participates in training new employees on policies and procedures
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 2+ years of total work experience in a similar position within Investment Management
- Advanced Microsoft skills (particularly *Excel), with some previous VBA experience being beneficial
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in investment reporting
- Strong organization and planning skills
Preferred
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement process improvements
- Advanced Excel skills (beyond basic VBA)
- Familiarity or interest in utilizing Python and SQL
- Consultative approach when interacting with stakeholders and peers
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to apply critical thinking skills
- Strategic and creative thinking capabilities
- Ability to coach and influence peers (without direct supervisory oversight)
- Completion of or progress toward a CFA or MBA
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid working, with one day per week from home.
