Job Title: Multi Drop Van Driver Location: Basildon Hours per week: 48 hrs (Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri + every Saturday morning) Salary: £37,489.93 per annum

This role supports Cencora’s wholesale distribution services in Europe, operating through our Alliance Healthcare business. You will play a vital part in ensuring the speedy, efficient, and accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals.

Main Responsibilities
Driving & Fleet Management
- Maintain a safe, competent standard of driving, observing speed limits, traffic signs, and regard for other road users.
- Conduct a daily vehicle check to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy, including lights, brakes, coolant, tyres, etc.
- Report any faults, accidents, breakdowns, or delays promptly.
- Maintain the internal and external cleanliness of the vehicle.
- Ensure sufficient fuel is always available for daily tasks.
- Secure the vehicle and its contents at all times.

Logistics & Administrative Tasks
- Check and ensure all orders on drop sheets are correctly loaded onto the vehicle.
- Collect returned goods (e.g., credit items, mail, delivery bins) and return them securely to the branch as instructed.
- Promptly handle damages/breakages, following special procedures for HazChems where necessary.
- Perform warehouse tasks as assigned by management.
Customer Relations & Professional conduct
- Maintain a smart appearance at all times.
- Enhance customer relations by providing efficient, professional service.
- Comply with strict Health & Safety requirements.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required
Essential
- A full driving licence relevant to the vehicle being driven.
- We operate a "risk-based assessment" for drivers with licence points – the presence of points may affect shortlisting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service abilities.
- Intermediate numeracy and literacy.
Desirable
- Previous experience in multi-drop delivery driving.
- Route planning skills.
