Based at: Polarspeed Distribution Ltd, Unit 2 Belgrave Court, Caxton Road, Fulwood, Preston, PR2 9ZB

Working Hours: Starting between 0700-0800, Monday to Friday (weekend and bank holiday work paid at time and a half, £19.06/hour)

Salary: £26,441 p/a (based on 40 hours), £12.71/hour

The Role: Deliveries & Collections

You’ll be a multi-drop van driver, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of temperature-sensitive consignments. Your responsibilities include:

  • Collections & deliveries to GP surgeries, retail pharmacies, wholesalers, and hospitals
  • On occasion, assisting patients with rotation and return of stock – this role requires excellent customer service
  • Flexibility is critical, as roles may require urgent medical adjustments and coverage for 48-54 weekly hours beyond the 40-hour minimum

Key Responsibilities

  • Check and scan all consignments
  • Conduct daily vehicle and refrigeration unit safety checks
  • Ensure on-time delivery while maintaining exact temperature ranges
  • Complete electronic delivery records and driver manifests
  • Maintain updates via daily communication
  • Demonstrate high safety and driving competency
  • Present a professional appearance

✔ Minimum 2 years’ driving experience ✔ B category licence (ideally with 3 or fewer penalty points) ✔ Previous delivery driver experience is advantageous ✔ Exceptional communication and professional customer service ✔ Strong relationship-building skills while maintaining confidentiality ✔ Strong organisational ability with responsiveness to workload priorities
