Multi Drop Van Driver – Permanent Position
Location: Polar Speed Distribution Ltd Unit 15, Newport Business Centre NP19 4RF
Hours:
- Monday to Friday (starting at 0645)
- 40 hours per week, with possibility of additional urgent hours (average 48–52 hours when required)
Salary: Hourly rate: £12.71 per hour

As a multi-drop van driver, your core duties include:

Consignment Handling:
- Scanning and tracking all deliveries and collections
- Ensuring ocnsignments remain within temperature parameters

Vehicle & Safety Compliance:
- Performing daily vehicle safety checks
- Conducting refrigeration unit inspections

Delivery Excellence:
- Making prompt and accurate multi-stop deliveries to GP surgeries, pharmacies, wholesalers, and patients
- Assisting patients (where applicable) with proper storage, rotation, or return of stock items
- Adhering to urgent medical time-sensitive commitments

Record-Keeping & Communication:
- Electronically logging delivery manifests and service updates
- Maintaining professional communication with clients and colleagues

Driving Standards:
- Exhibiting safe, professional driving competence at all times
- Presenting a smart, work-ready appearance throughout shifts
Key Skills & Requirements
Essential:
- A minimum of 2 years’ driving experience
- A valid B-category driving licence, preferably with ≤3 penalty points
- Previous delivery driving experience (advantageous)
- Exceptional customer service skills (essential for patient interactions)
- Ability to build trust and work effectively with customers while upholding confidentiality
- Strong organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise urgent medical deliveries
