Multi-Site Caretaker – Wath Academy, Rotherham (Permanent, Full-Time)
Location: Wath Academy, S63 7NW Contract: Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week) Salary: £27,476.80 per annum
Shift Pattern
- Hours: Any 8-hour block between 6:00am – 22:00pm (Monday to Friday)
- Unpaid Lunch: 1 hour
- Overtime: Occasional overtime may be required to fulfill contractual obligations
About the Role
As our Multi-Site Caretaker, you will play a critical role in managing and maintaining the Wath Academy site across all Rotherham schools. As a key holder, your responsibilities span site security, maintenance, PORTERAGE, reception duties, and the maintenance of strong relations between Equans and the school.
You must demonstrate:
- A keen eye for detail
- Practical knowledge of DIY and general building maintenance
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
Key Responsibilities
Your role includes:
- Mon MDARE maintenance (litter picking, planned/unplanned repairs)
- External site management (cleaning, prep for seasonal changes)
- Porterage (messaging, deliveries, general transfers)
- 24/7 security & reception management
- Being the key link between Equans and the school
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety (manual handling, elevated work, COSHH & colour-coding]

✅ Qualifications & Experience
- Full valid UK driving licence
- Experience in maintenance, trades or equivalent responsibilities
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
✅ Essential Behaviours
- Excellent customer service skills (critical for public-facing roles)
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently
- Aproach where you can take initiative and resolve issues autonomously
- Prior H&S experience (manual handling, flat/pint relief and elevated work)
✅ Compliance aplica tion of COSHH and colour-coding standards must be known.auable to work flexibly as necessary.
