Multi-site Cleaning Operative – Join Royal Mail P&FS and Help Keep Our Sites Spotless!

Location: Lairg Delivery Office, Lairg, IV27 4DP

Job Reference Number: 339115

Pay: £12.71 per hour.

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 8.75 hours a week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday 10am to 11.45am, or 11am to 12.45pm
  • Split over 2 sites:
    • Lairg Delivery Office - 1 hour a day
    • Lairg Vehicle Service Centre - 45 minutes a day.

About The Role

As a Multi-site Cleaning Operative, you’ll be responsible for maintaining cleanliness across two key locations. Your responsibilities will include a range of cleaning tasks, including:

  • Mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
  • Cleaning toilets, floors and offices
  • Emptying bins and sanitising surfaces
  • Litter picking within yard and car park areas

You’ll work independently or as part of a team, helping us maintain the high standards our customers expect. This is a physical role involving manual handling, but full training will be provided.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly, reliable, and self-motivated
  • Able to manage their own time and work independently
  • Comfortable using cleaning equipment (training provided)
  • A good communicator who follows Health & Safety guidelines

Previous cleaning experience is helpful, but not essential.

  • 22.5 days annual leave, rising to 25 after 5 years’ service – plus bank holidays
